There was no guarantee that you will see Mount Fuji when you visit Japan. So we were keeping everything crossed!
And we were rewarded with a beautiful day! Here is our 'photo' of the trip with Mount Fuji in the background.
Then we took the cable car for more views.
Afterwards we went for a sail across Lake Ashi. It was strange that the boat was a Pirate Ship but it brought out the child in us!
Beautiful view with Shinto Gate.
Later on Mr Sft went for a walk.
I caught the public bus and went to a Sculpture Park.
Above and below: 2 of my favourite Sculptures.
Here is the Traditional Japanese Inn we stayed in.
After our hot bath we dressed in our traditional robes. Our futons were very comfortable.
You were indeed very lucky to have such great weather in which to view Mount Fuji. It is absolutely gorgeous! I really love that second sculpture, the sphere one, it is very well done.

We were so happy to have such a great view of Mount Fuji! I have heard of people that didn't get to see it when visiting Japan.
DeleteThe sphere sculpture was one of my favourites too.

Love that photo of you & Mr SFT with Mt Fuji in the background, it's so clear!
ReplyDeleteAnd that gate on the water's edge, gorgeous!
xx
That was a great spot for a photo. I may actually put that picture in a frame. Just to remind us!
DeleteMy dream was to see one of those Shinto gates. This view was one of the best I saw.

Such lovely shots of Mt Fuji! I have never been to Japan but it is such a large varied country with so much beautiful countryside.
ReplyDeleteHi CC
DeleteIt was Mr Sft's idea to go to Japan and I think I loved it just as much as he did. Very varied and so interesting on different levels.
